In Stryn County there are many good lakes for fishing, Stryn Lake, Loen Lake and Olden Lake just to mention some. All located in beautiful valleys with high surrounding mountain reaching for the sky with glacier ice and snow as a white coating on the top.
In the lakes trout is the dominating fish but you can also catch eel and Arctic char.

Spring fishing

From around Easter it is good chances to catch big trout in the lakes and fishing with a pole from land ore boat is good options. Lure fishing, fly fishing ore bate fishing all works very well.

Summer fishing

This is also a good season fore trout and also eel. The chances for catching big trout are a little bit smaller but there is a lot of medium sized fish to catch. Fly fishing during early mornings and late knight is the best time.
Eel fishing is best during the knight.

Autumn fishing

The fishing takes another turn. The trout go closer to land fore breeding and you can catch many of them if you find a good place with shallow rocky bottom.

Winter fishing

This is the time to catch the arctic char. Ice fishing with bate and big shinning lures.
If you are lucky you can catch big trout as well. Early winter the fish are close to the ice but later on fishing close to the bottom often works better. Preferred bate is maggot.
